WHY JESUS?
Jesus is the Son of the one and only Living God. He is himself God, but he also is truly man – having walked on earth among us. Because he himself is the Living God, we can have a living, loving relationship with him, and through him to God the Father and God the Holy Spirit. All of this is a holy mystery that is difficult, if not impossible, to explain logically, but it is nonetheless true.
Jesus is the exact representation of the Living God of heaven, and Jesus is a man and God of love, tenderness, gentleness, care and compassion. Jesus loves because he is love. Love is difficult, if not impossible to explain, but it is nonetheless true. |

We live in and through Jesus, and our every word is his; every heartbeat, every breath belongs to him. Every groan, every tear, every smile, every sigh is known to Jesus, for: “For in him we live and move and have our being.” We express ourselves in Jesus through our whole lives – through relationships, through struggles, through joy, through sadness, through gain, through loss – and every breath we take is a prayer to the God who made us, loves us, knows us and saves us. |
